Suspendido en el tiempo - Movement direction
movement direction: TOMÁS PINTOS
“digital art transcends the ordinary.” this performance explores the fluid dialogue between the digital and the physical, presence and image, transformation and recognition. two female bodies inhabit the gallery space, turning it into a living landscape. one performer is entirely covered in a white, wettable fabric, like a cocoon or soft sculpture, while the other interacts with her, slowly revealing her through water and touch. this intimate ritual transforms the body into both a screen and a mirror: visibility emerges through water, a symbol of transformation, memory, and reflection. eventually, both performers share the fabric, merging into one shifting, interdependent body.
the choreography emphasizes interdependence, ambiguity, and softness as forms of resistance. the work will be documented and expanded into photo and video, blending the ephemeral with the digital archive. movement is inspired by franz erhard walther’s activation of sculptural forms through the body, reinterpreted through a contemporary, feminine, and digital lens.
